BW Converting's PCMC Amica Mia is a line whose beating heart is the proven Amica Matrix rewinder that has had more than 200 installations worldwide. Available at a speed of 450 mpm and 30 cycles (opt. 550 mpm / 40 cycles), Amica Mia can produce toilet rolls or kitchen towels with diameters ranging from 90 mm to 160 mm (opt. up to 200 mm). The two unwinders supplied accept reels with a maximum diameter of two meters. The embosser laminator unit is equipped with a quick-change steel roll change system (355 mm diameter), which affords great reliability, efficiency and flexibility. Downstream of the line is the tail sealer, the accumulator and the Prolog LT model log saw, capable of 240 cuts per minute on four lanes. Completing the supply is the TDS corewinder, operating at a speed of 120 mpm.
The PCMC Amica Mia 2.0 line is a solution that is also based on the Amica Matrix rewinder, offering even better performance suitable for a wider range of products. With speeds of 600 mpm, up to 40 cycles, diameters from 90 mm to 200 mm, unwinders for reels with diameters of up to 2.5 m and an embosser with 420 mm diameter steel rolls. The PCMC Amica Mia 2.0 offers the possibility of varying production from toilet rolls to kitchen towel rolls with extreme ease. All this is achieved by the two pairs of steel rolls already included in the basic line configuration and the pressure control on the operator panel that allow quick recall of previously saved parameters.
The PCMC Forte Mia is a line capable of up to 600 mpm and 40 cycles, but with the winding quality that BW Converting's PCMC Forte provides, making it a high-end rewinder whose winding profile is unparalleled on the market. A perfect pick-up on the cardboard core, stable formation and a uniform winding profile along the entire length of the log, along with bulky embossing that remains unaltered to the end, are just some of the inimitable features of PCMC Forte technology On PCMC Forte Mia lines, flexibility in product changeover is ensured by the standard use of SmartTouch©, our operator interface that simplifies control of line parameters and ensures repeatability. From the very beginning, or after the line is started up, the PCMC Forte Mia offers the possibility of integrating the PCMC INVISIBLE-O system that produces BRT/HHT cardboard-free rolls with the traditional center hole maintained.
