A Legacy of Quality and Innovation

Founded in 1939 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Northern Engraving and Machine (NEMCO) specializes in producing engraved steel rolls for a wide range of global markets. In 2005, NEMCO became part of the Barry-Wehmiller family, joining forces with PCMC. This strategic connection provides NEMCO with direct access to PCMC’s engineering expertise, leveraging their unparalleled knowledge in designing machines that manufacture customers’ products.

In 2023, NEMCO further enhanced its capabilities by opening a new Converting Solutions Lab in Lucca, Italy. This facility, along with the one in Green Bay, offers customers an ideal environment to test and refine their products on three distinct pilot lines before launching them to market.

That same year, Northern Engraving and Machine joined five other Barry-Wehmiller companies to form BW Converting, unifying the legacy of quality and innovation from each product brand under one global organization.
